Allie Hutchins, MA, LPCC

Over more than 15 years in the mental health field I have had the pleasure of working with individuals, couples and groups across a variety of settings. These experiences, from residential treatment to in-home interventions to school settings and private practice, have helped me grow my appreciation for meeting each person where they are on their unique mental health journey.

Through my work with adolescents and adults I have seen in action the power of acknowledging our struggles while focusing on our strengths. Too often we are quick to define ourselves by our weaknesses and struggle to see the beauty and ability within each of us. I truly believe that you are MORE than your problem areas, and to define yourself by those problems, is to limit your ability to grow into the life you want.

I structure our sessions around balancing the need to share your struggles, with the importance of building toward your goals. My work has taught me that the power of therapy comes from the combination of a safe space to share, building on our strengths, and learning ways to create positive change through action. My sessions are collaborative, compassionate, honest, and engaging - with a good dose of humor too!
